  • Overview

    Job Summary: Responsible for the development and on-going management of a formalized collection/credit program, which combines utilization of internal and external resources necessary to promote the in house charge program

    Responsibilities

    Job Duties:

    • Oversight responsibilities for the performance and management of credit checks on all applicants.
    • Design and implement a customer service program necessary to support the in house account program
    • Develop and implement a marketing program to increase sales and cardholder base.
    • Interface with the MIS department and Marketing department to create a system to track cardholder purchases to enhance direct marketing initiatives.
    • Interface with Third Party Dept, Nursing Home Services and ProAct to ensure billing and accounts receivable integrity.
    • Perform internal audits and reviews as necessary to insure proper systems are in place to effectively administer the program
    • Responsible for the design, development, and maintenance, of all data bases and benchmarking reports necessary for the effective and timely management of the accounts
    • Develop internal and external resources and systems necessary to take a proactive approach in addressing past-due accounts in a timely manner
    • Maintain knowledge of current laws affecting collection efforts and activities to ensure that the company is in compliance with all applicable laws in the state in which we operate
    • Assist in the budgetary planning process
    • Interface with various auditors and outside agencies, as required
    • Responsible for the assessment, evaluation and implementation of technologies needed to maximize efficiencies within supervised departments
    • Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • Minimum: Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business Management or related field

    Experience:

    • Required:  2-3 years in a Credit and Collecitons role.
    • Preferred: Previous supervisory experience within a Collections Department.
