Overview

Travel: Daily travel required throughout the assigned territory to physician offices, hospitals, clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and other referral sources.

 

Scope of Responsibilities: Serves as the primary liaison between referral sources, patients, and Kinney Homecare. Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with healthcare providers and referral partners while supporting patient access to home medical equipment and respiratory services. Works collaboratively with branch operations to facilitate timely patient transitions and promote exceptional customer service while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

 

Job Summary: Responsible for developing referral relationships and serving as a resource to healthcare providers throughout the assigned territory. This position promotes Kinney Homecare products and services through provider education, patient care coordination, and ongoing communication with referral partners. The Patient Care Coordinator works closely with branch operations to support quality patient care and strengthen Kinney Homecare’s presence within the community.

Responsibilities

Job Duties:

  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, hospitals, clinics, skilled nursing facilities, discharge planners, case managers, referral coordinators, respiratory therapists, office managers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct daily provider touchpoints to educate referral sources and strengthen referral relationships.
  • Schedule and conduct provider education programs, lunch-and-learn presentations, and focused in-service training sessions.
  • Promote Kinney Homecare products and services while identifying opportunities to improve patient access to care.
  • Collaborate with branch operations, customer service, clinical staff, billing, and leadership to facilitate timely patient transitions and resolution of referral issues.
  • Maintain a consistent field presence throughout the assigned territory.
  • Document provider interactions, referral activity, and territory development efforts in company reporting systems.
  • Submit weekly activity reports to the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Participate in branch meetings, educational programs, ride-along, and community events as requested.
  • Prepare, document, and submit business expenses accurately and in accordance with company expense reimbursement policies.
  • Utilize Concur or other company-approved expense management systems to ensure timely submission of expense reports and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of territory activities, provider interactions, and business-related expenses in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS guidelines, payer requirements, and company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education:

 

Preferred:       Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and healthcare experience.

 

Experience:

  • Experience in healthcare, home medical equipment, respiratory therapy, patient care coordination, physician outreach, case management, or healthcare sales preferred.
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships with healthcare providers and referral sources.
  • Strong customer service and territory management skills.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and DME billing practices preferred.

Compensation:

$62,355-$65,000 annual
