Overview

Scope of Responsibilities: The Data Solutions Analyst will partner cross functionally to understand underlying business issues and will utilize technology and reporting to create tools/processes to create efficiencies.  As a Data Solutions Analyst, you will be responsible for spearheading initiatives that eliminate manual work and repetitive tasks. You will also be assisting in budgeting and financial reporting.

 

Job Summary: You will transform raw data into actionable insights through analysis, automation, and visualization. Collaborating with department leaders and senior leadership, you’ll identify performance improvement opportunities and implement scalable solutions that reduce manual work and optimize operations.

Responsibilities

  • Build automated solutions using SQL and Python to solve complex reporting and calculating needs
  • Build out new pricing model using agreed upon specifications and provide results in a client-facing format
  • Develop data pipelines to automate manual processes
  • Analyze invoice and payment data for external clients to ensure accuracy of rates being applied as well as analyzing rejection reporting to ensure agreement with claim rejections
  • Create Power BI and other self-service reporting dashboards for external clients
  • Provide and analyze dashboard reporting to help drive internal business decisions
  • Build out automated onboarding solutions for potential clients
  • Support external vendors and internal stakeholders with data and reporting solutions as well as ad hoc requests
  • Analyze, develop, and present reporting on individual client performance to ensure contractual optimization
  • Create tools to model formulary position changes and related financial impact
  • Use AI to automate and create solutions such as summarizing rebate rates using rate sheets and associated data for forecasting purposes
  • Maintain appropriate documentation of applications and business processes
  • Support sales growth
  • Integrate with clinical team to develop process improvement roadmap
  • Assist management with forecasting/annual budget
  • Shares knowledge with peers and others and supports knowledge management efforts
  • Participates in developing individual skill sets to meet today and tomorrow’s business needs
  • Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Job Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in SQL and other coding languages (Python, R, Java, etc.)
  • PBM/GPO experience a plus
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative ideology
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools such as Excel, PowerBI, and PowerPoint

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business or Computer Science

 

Experience:

  • Preferred: 2-3 or more years previous experience in related position
  • Preferred: Experience using business intelligence tools such as Power BI
  • Must possess knowledge of security concepts applicable to this role and function.
